Another update has come our way, complete with a new biome, mob, and plenty of blocks to change up standard gameplay. So, today, we answer, “What is the new biome in Minecraft The Garden Awakens?”
What Is the New Biome in Minecraft the Garden Awakens?
The new biome in Minecraft The Garden Awakens is the pale garden, a variant of the dark forest biome. Inside, one will find a monochrome and eerily quiet landscape covered by pale oak trees, pale moss, plae hanging moss, and eyeblossoms. There is also a new mob found in the pale garden known as the creaking, which we will dive into further below.
Those searching for the pale garden will have the best luck looking near biomes with high humidity, such as birch forests, dark forests, and jungles. The /locate biome command can also be used for those who do not mind commands.
The Creaking
Pale oak trees can generate with a creaking heart inside, and come night, this block will summon forth the creaking to wander around nearby. The creaking is a hostile mob immune to all damage but with the key weakness of not being able to move when on screen. To defeat a creaking, one must locate its creaking heart and destroy it.
To find the creaking heart, strike the pursuing creaking once. This will cause a line of particles to appear, indicating where the creaking heart resides. Additionally, each strike against the creaking causes resin clumps to appear on the pale oak log blocks surrounding the heart, making the tree where it hides easier to spot.
Once found, chop out the heart with an axe to earn one to three resin clumps. Those with a silk touch enchanted axe can alternatively gather the creaking heart without destroying it.
Creaking Hearts
Vertically stacking a pale oak log followed by the creaking heart and then another pale oak log will cause the creaking heart to activate and spawn a creaking anywhere one would like. Creaking hearts can also be crafted using a block of resin and two pale oak logs. Gathered and crafted creaking hearts function the same as their naturally generated counterparts.
