Wildflowers

Minecraft Wildflowers Block

Wildflowers are a new carpet flower that can generate in Birch Forest, Old Growth Birch Forest, and Meadow biomes. A varying number of wildflowers can occupy the same block with a limit of four “levels,” causing different appearances and using bone meal on a wildflower will produce more wildflowers. Wildflowers can also be crafted into yellow dye.

Leaf Litter

Minecraft Leaf Litter Block

Leaf litter is a second carpet block in Snapshot 25w02a that can generate in Forest, Dark Forest, and Wooded Badlands biomes. Like wildflowers, different amounts of leaves can take up the same block with a limit of four “levels.” Additionally, stepping on leaf litter causes crunching sounds. Leaf litter can be crafted by smelting leaf blocks.

Warm pigs are one of two new pig variants found in Savanna, Savanna Plateau, Windswept Savanna, Jungle, Sparse Jungle, Bamboo Jungle, Eroded Badlands, Wooded Badlands, and Badlands biomes. They are mechanically the same as regular pigs, making this change purely cosmetic.

Cold Pig

Cold pigs are the second new pig variant found in Old Growth Pine Taiga, Old Growth Spruce Taiga, Taiga, Snowy Taiga, Windswept Hills, Windswept Gravelly Hills, and Windswept Forest biomes. They too are mechanically the same as regular pigs, making this change purely cosmetic.

Lodestone (Updated)

Minecraft Lodestone Block

The lodestone block has been around since Minecraft 1.16, but Minecraft Snapshot 25w02a will be giving them some new life with an updated recipe and new looting opportunities. The recipe is now one iron ingot surrounded by eight chiseled stone blocks. Some players may also discover them in chests surrounding ruined portals.

For those who may not recall, lodestone blocks cause compasses to point to them when placed, making them handy for marking your base.
