Camels are one of Minecraft 1.20’s newest mobs, but to the surprise of many, they don’t spawn naturally in desert biomes. So, today we explain step by step how to find camels in Minecraft 1.20.
Preparing to Find Camels
Camels may be close by or a journey away; it all depends on the seed and where spawn generates. Those far from desert biomes will be in for quite the adventure, but otherwise, there is not much danger.

- Some Cactus
How to Find Camels
As previously mentioned, camels do not spawn naturally in desert biomes. Instead, one spawns per desert village. Those seeking a camel will need to find desert biomes across the land in hopes of a village being hidden among the sand.
Once found, up to two players can ride a camel using a saddle, leads can be used to move them about, and they are healed with cactus if damaged.
How to Breed Camels
Camels are bred using cacti, but each desert village only has one camel. Those seeking to breed their own will need to find a second village while bringing the first camel along or after returning them home.
Once two have been found, feed them both some cactus and a baby camel will appear to say hello to the world.
How to Find Camels in Minecraft 1.20
Camels offer a unique alternative to horses with their ability to step over large obstacles and perform dashing jumps. Combining that with the fact that mobs can’t reach the player on top and two seats to share, they are definitely worthy of the journey needed to find a pair.
