Minecraft 1.20 introduced plenty of new uses for bamboo, but the item itself can still be quite hard to find! So, today we explain how to find bamboo in Minecraft, and at record speed too.
How to Find Bamboo in Minecraft
The first step to finding bamboo in Minecraft is knowing where to look! Bamboo grows in jungle biomes, which are easily identified by their tall jungle trees covered in vines, cocoa pods, parrots, ocelots, and pandas. Thankfully, jungles are typically one of the larger and more common biomes, making journeys to locate one short.
However, for those who don’t mind using cheats, the “/locate biome” command is always an option.
Searching the Jungle
Once a jungle biome is found, the next step is searching it for bamboo. Bamboo in Minecraft grows tall into the sky, reaching 12-16 blocks in height, and is thin, green, and cane-like in appearance, similar to sugar cane. Those that are lucky may even find a bamboo jungle biome where they grow in abundance.
During the search, the difficult terrain of the jungle may also become annoying. We found shears make it easier to get about!
Harvesting Bamboo
After finding bamboo, it can be harvested with your hand, but an axe will get the job done fastest. It may also be a good idea to replant a few so the nearby pandas will continue to survive and thrive.
Once home, bamboo farms can be created on almost any common land block ranging from grass to sand. Just make sure it has light, and it will grow high into the sky.
How to Find Bamboo in Minecraft: Closing Words
We hope our short guide on how to find bamboo in Minecraft has helped! We recommend using the chance to bring home a panda as well. They love to roll around!
