The loot-filled Vault block coming in Minecraft 1.21 has the potential to make old structures come alive! But this brings up the question, can Vault blocks be looted twice? Today, we answer that and more in our short Vault Block guide.
What Are Vault Blocks?
Vault blocks are a new block that will generate in Trial Chambers come Minecraft 1.21. To access them, players will each need a Trial Key earned by clearing Trial Spawners, and unlike chests, each player can loot a Vault block as long as they have a Trial Key in hand.
Can Vault Blocks Be Looted Twice?
Sadly, Vault blocks can only ever be looted by each player once. They will not reactivate after thirty minutes like Trial Spawners, nor will more of them generate in a pre-existing ruin. This means opening another will require finding new Trial Chambers that contain more vaults!

Will Vaults Be Added to Old Structures?
At this time, no confirmation or suggestion has been given that Vaults will make their way to older structures. However, with how beneficial they are to servers, it is likely we will see some iteration of them in new structures going forward.
An Adventure’s End
With loot in hand, the journey ends, but it won’t be long before another is had! Vaults generate in Trial Chambers all across the overworld, meaning there is an infinite amount ahead. So, while Vaults can not be looted twice, there is always another waiting with something nice.
