While mining away, a creeper explosion knocks you into a wall, but suddenly your surroundings are not what they should be at all—only that of a distant yellow-tinged hall. Today we answer the question, are the backrooms in Minecraft?
What are the Backrooms?
The Backrooms is an urban legend made famous on YouTube. Those who end up stuck inside find a series of yellow-tinged hallways and rooms that go on forever, illuminated by the gentle hum of fluorescent lights. Distant voices can sometimes be heard, and in rarer cases, things are seen. However, if one could answer what they actually are, it would make them rather famous.
Are the Backrooms in Minecraft?
Unfortunately, the backrooms are not in Minecraft, but there is a way to add them. Players seeking the backrooms need to head over to Curseforge, where Java Edition mods are found. Sadly, the backrooms mod has not been updated in some time, but the successor called “The Corners” is already updated for Minecraft 1.20.
Once installed, “The Corners” adds unique dimensions based on famous liminal spaces, including the backrooms.
