With all the big features hogging the spotlight, it can be easy to forget that some fun new potions have been added too! So, today, we explore all Minecraft 1.21 potions and consumables.
Potion of Infestation
The first of the four new potions added in Minecraft 1.21 is made by brewing an awkward potion with stone. This, in turn, will create a Potion of Infestation, which grants a status effect called Infested. While under the effects of Infested, all damage received has a 10% chance to spawn 1-2 silverfish.
Potion of Oozing
Potions of Oozing are made by brewing a slime block with an awkward potion. Players under the effects of Oozing will have two slimes spawn from their bodies should they die before the effect ends. A perfect way to prank friends!
Potion of Weaving
Much like Potions of Oozing, Potions of Weaving cause spiderwebs to spawn around a player following their death. They are made by brewing an awkward potion with a cobweb and have the added bonus of allowing those under its effects to move slightly faster through cobwebs.
Potion of Wind Charging
The last of the new potions is Potion of Wind Charging, created by brewing an awkward potion and Breeze Rod. Entities under the effects of Wind Charging emit a burst of air similar to a Wind Charge upon their death.
Ominous Bottles
Finally, we have Ominous Bottles. These scary beverages drop from a variety of sources, including Pillager Raids, Trial Spawners, and Vaults. They grant the Bad Omen status effect upon consumption, which can turn into a trial or raid omen depending on one’s location.
Trial Chamber: If consumed within a Trial Chamber, the Bad Omen becomes a Trial Omen, transforming nearby Trial Spawners into Ominous Trial Spawners. Be warned that this drastically increases difficulty!
Village: If consumed within a village, the bad omen becomes a Raid Omen and begins a challenging raid.
