There are no naturally generated swamp villages in vanilla Minecraft. However, there are swamp villagers! So, today we explore how to find swamp villagers in Minecraft 1.20.2.
Creating a Swamp Village
Swamp villagers can only be created through one of two ways. The first is curing a zombie villager within a swamp biome, and the second is two villagers breeding within a swamp, creating a baby swamp villager.
Both are easier said than done, but it can also be quite a lot of fun! This journey begins with creating a village of your very own for future swamp villagers to call home. It can be as simple or complex as desired. The only requirements are beds and shelter.
Curing Zombie Villagers
Once there is a house for the zombie villager to call home, lock them inside while you grab the supplies. A splash potion of weakness and a golden apple are all that’s needed. First, throw the splash potion of weakness at the zombie villager and then feed it the golden apple. It will cause the zombie villager to begin shaking while emitting golden particles.
After one to two minutes, it should transform into a swamp villager!
Breeding Villagers
The second option for players to employ is taking villagers from a nearby village and leading them to their new swamp homes. This is most easily done with minecarts and rails. Simply build a track from the village to the swamp, capture two villagers in minecarts, and then have the rails take them there.
Once they arrive, they should eventually recognize the swamp village as their home, and with sufficient beds, they will breed, creating swamp villagers to call your own.
